"Sometimes sharp blades are like that." Tyko had cut himself on a sword once. It was really sharp and he didn't feel it until he looked down and saw blood.
"I'll take you home after the stitches." Tyko didn't think Torvald would stay in the hospital. He would need stitches, maybe some plasma or blood, and then they could go home.
"I think we're pulling into the hospital." Tyko felt the ambulance slow down.
"I know about sharp blades but actually falling onto one drunk? That was my own stupid fault."
Torvald was a training swordsmith and knew about sharp metal but he hadn't expected to sustain such a deep gash at Jake's. The accident had happened and now it was all about healing and learning from his mistakes like any good craftsman.
"Stitches? I want to snuggle up in bed with you."
The Swede was tired, out of it and just saying things that came into his head.
Tyko kissed Torvald's forehead before they had him get out of the ambulance.
"After the doctors see you." Tyko called to him as the EMTs pulled the bed out of the ambulance and started wheeling him inside. Tyko was following right behind.
